My Journey

1. About Me

Hello, my name is John Revorm, I am 21 years old and was born in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia. I am currently a 4th-semester evening student in the D3 Informatics Engineering program at Politeknik Negeri Batam, while also building professional experience in design and technology.

I have a strong interest in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, and Product Design. Through my experience in work, studies, and running my own business, I have become used to adapting quickly, working collaboratively, and solving various challenges with a creative and structured approach.

2. Why I Chose This Career Path

My journey in design started during my internship at a printing company in vocational high school. That experience sparked my interest in graphic design and visual communication. Until now, I have around 2 years of experience as a Graphic Designer in the printing industry, along with various freelance projects. Through these experiences, I have developed skills in promotional design, branding, digital media, and print materials. With my background in Informatics (D3), I am also interested in expanding my skills in UI/UX Design and digital product design.

3. Career Interests & Exploration

> Besides focusing on design, I also have a strong interest in technology development and various roles in the digital industry. I enjoy learning how different fields work, their challenges, and the skills required, in order to broaden my knowledge and perspective.

> Some of the areas I explore include Product Management, Front-End Development, Full-Stack Development, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automation Engineering, Data Analytics, Digital Business, Project Management, and Business Development, as well as technology sectors supporting telecommunications, manufacturing, and energy industries. I believe that understanding different disciplines helps me become a more adaptable individual who can view problems from multiple perspectives.
